Life had other plans last weekend , so I get to try to catch up with tech learning/playing this weekend. Haven’t added much that is new to the plate since it is overloaded anyway.

Took another glance at Moodle — glanced at it a couple of years ago. Went with Carnegie KEEP Toolkit back then, though I never developed anything. Just downloaded Microsoft’s Learning Content Development System. [Listed at Jane's eLearning Pick of the Day: 5/6/08]
Accept the nervous edge of being an unfamiliar novice - though tech can very quickly get overwhelming for anyone. How to introduce and entice extremely busy teachers to jump in, in spite of economic obstacles and time restraints, etc. remains an unanswered problem. One bit I’ve decided to do is to provide a recipe (how-tos and tech ingredients) along with each student lesson.
It remains that the learning curve is often initially steep. Also, educators are up against quality issues. We have to produce for media and tech savvy students; our market-driven competition has been developed by teams with (gasp) R&D funding.
At least with collaborative Web 2.0 projects, there’s more interaction between teachers in community spaces, and the assessment focus more often falls upon students’ production.
